The analysis-ready files are Excel files of student-level data displayed in one row per student with 50+ columns of data elements and calculated outcomes. The data is derived from your PDP course and cohort files as well as Clearinghouse enrollment and degree data for a deeper dive into key student outcomes across a range of variables.
Take our tutorial course, Orienting and Using the Analysis-Ready Files, to learn more about how to use the analysis-ready files.
Watch the video below for a high-level overview of the three analysis-ready files, differences between the files, and potential questions the files can answer.
Using the Course-Level Analysis-Ready File
Watch the video below to learn how to use the course-level analysis-ready file to understand which gateway English and Math courses students have taken, determine if retention rates differ based on which gateway course a student takes, and look at the lowest course type retention to see if there is an equity gap by race/ethnicity.
Using the Cohort-Level Analysis-Ready File
Watch the video below to learn how to use the cohort-level analysis ready file to find the percentage of students required to take math and/or English gateway courses and determine if there’s a benefit to student retention when student’s complete required gateway courses in their first year.
