Subgroup Gap Analysis Dashboard
The Subgroup Gap Analysis dashboard displays a singular view into all the PDP metrics and KPIs (Enrollment, First Year Gateway Course Completion, Credit Accumulation Rate, Credit Completion Rate, Retention & Persistence).
You can use the Subgroup Gap Analysis to compare differences between two student populations. First, select a cohort year, and then select a dimension, then use the checkboxes to select two elements (you can only select two at a time).
The data is displayed in two circles with a bar in the center, which represents the gap. You can hover over a circle to see the percentage point gap for different student demographics. The vertical grey line designates the overall for comparison purposes.
Metric Specific Filters & Which Students are Included
Keep in mind that not every KPI includes all students within a given cohort. Our early momentum metrics, as an example, only include first-time and transfer students who attempted at least one credit in their first academic year, but our outcomes metrics may display all students reported to PDP. Slight differences in counts between the KPIs are to be expected.
Metric specific filters are available within the visualization. For First-Year Gateway Course specifications, you must make your selections, and then click the “Update Chart” button. All other filters will be applied immediately upon selection.
We recommend reviewing the dashboard guides for each metric to understand which students are included and how metric specific filters impact the calculations (you can click on the KPI below to be directed to the dashboard guide for each specific metric).
As a note, only students who have been reported through both Enrollment Reporting and PDP will be counted in the dashboards.
