New FAQs: GE/FVT Reporting & the Clearinghouse’s Free Solution

The 2024 Gainful Employment (GE) and Financial Value Transparency (FVT) regulations that go into effect July 1, 2024, will impact nearly EVERY institution that participates in the National Student Clearinghouse.

Your institution should prepare to meet the GE/FVT reporting requirements by the January 15, 2025, deadline (see FSA announcement about updated reporting date). Fortunately, the Clearinghouse is here to help your institution prepare to comply with GE/FVT’s imminent and complex reporting requirements.

  • Starting July 1st, the Clearinghouse will offer a free and easy-to-use GE/FVT reporting solution to help your institution comply with the new legislation.
  • Our new Gainful Employment & Financial Value Transparency FAQs offers an overview of how our solution will work, the role your institution will play in reporting the data to the Clearinghouse, and how you can stay updated on our solution and any legislative changes as they evolve.
  • The Clearinghouse will soon begin holding free GE/FVT webinars as well as provide updates on Compliance Central. You can check our Enrollment Reporting & Compliance events calendar to sign up for our webinars.
  • This spring, the Clearinghouse will publish a new resource page for institutions that will provide the latest updates on our solution and the regulatory landscape. We will also share information on how you can sign up for our exciting new reporting solution and how we plan to continue to modernize our Enrollment Reporting platform to best support your institution through GE/FVT and beyond.
