New Subgroup Gap Analysis Dashboard & More

May 21, 2026

The new Subgroup Gap Analysis dashboard is now available within PDP. This dashboard displays a singular view into all the PDP metrics and KPIs (Enrollment, First Year Gateway Course Completion, Credit Accumulation Rate, Credit Completion Rate, Retention & Persistence). You can use the dashboard to compare differences between two student populations.

See the Big Picture and Key Differences

  • Subgroup Gap Analysis lets you see all PDP metrics for two student groups in a single view
  • Early Momentum Metrics combines Credit Accumulation Rate and Credit Completion Ratio for easy comparisons and displays total credits attempted/earned across cohorts
  • Gateway Course Completion remains a standalone dashboard due to its unique analytic focus

Here’s a look at our other recent PDP enhancements.

Easier-to-Use Dashboards Reflect Student Progression

PDP’s institutional dashboards have been redesigned to follow the student journey more closely and are easier to use and more intuitive.

  • Dashboards follow the student lifecycle — from Enrollment and Early Momentum through Retention & Persistence, Transfer and Outcomes & Credentials
  • Related metrics are grouped together to improve navigation and usability
  • Filters persist as you move between connected metrics. No need to reapply selections.
  • Chart options next to each visualization let you quickly switch views (e.g., counts vs. percentages)

Same Trusted Metrics, Improved Visuals

The metrics you rely on haven’t changed — but we’ve made it simpler for you to explore, compare, and act on them.

  • New visualizations for post‑transfer outcomes and degree attainment
  • Flexible cohort comparisons (any two cohorts by multiple dimensions in one dashboard) for specific metrics
  • Call-out boxes highlighting changes over time (e.g., cohort counts, enrollment, etc.).
  • Always-on overall trend line displayed with dimension breakdowns in line graphs

Submitting Data to PDP Is Easier Than Ever

Our secure, intuitive data intake interface makes PDP submissions faster and more transparent—without the need for FTP (although FTP is still supported).

  • Faster notifications of potential file issues
  • Clearer file status messages
  • Simpler data quality checks
  • No more submission windows — submit data when it works best for you

What you should know: Course, cohort, and financial aid files should be submitted through data intake. There’s no change to file formats, but submission is much easier!

Plus, Better Support & Resources

We also continue to improve the resources available to help you get the most out of PDP, including most recently:

  • Expanding the PDP Knowledge Base with updated FAQs and other content and improved search
  • Creating a PDP Mapping Tool to help you align your cohort and course files with submission requirements
  • Enhancing the AR File Data Dictionary with clearer definitions and calculations
