The Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP) team at the National Student Clearinghouse is excited to announce two releases: the Submission Tracker Dashboard and the first PDP Insights Report.
The Submission Tracker Dashboard displays a summary status of submitted data, report generation, and PDP dashboard refreshes for an institution. Data submission information is limited to your institution(s) or, for third parties, institutions that you are currently authorized to see.
Using the dashboard, you can determine where an institution is in the file submission process. You can view:
- A summary of the data that has been submitted for the institution
- Any actions the data provider or the Clearinghouse needs to take
- When the Clearinghouse last generated analysis-ready (AR) files for the institution
- When the Clearinghouse last refreshed the data in the institution’s PDP dashboards
To access the Submission Tracker Dashboard, log in through the PDP dashboard login button and click the “PDP Submission Tracker” link under resources on the right side of the page. You can learn more about the Submission Tracker Dashboard, including the definitions of the specific values it displays, using the dashboard guide located on the PDP Knowledge Base. We are also delighted to announce the first PDP Insights Report, released by the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, Credit Accumulation and Completion Rates among First-Year College Students. The report focuses on two of the PDP’s early momentum indicators: Credit Accumulation Rate (CAR) and Credit Completion Ratio (CCR), which enable you to identify groups of students who need intervention(s) earlier as well as equity gaps that need to be addressed.
Some key findings were that first-year degree-seeking students in the 2019-20 cohort completed roughly 75% of the credits they attempted in their first year and that just over 50% of the sample completed enough credits in their first year for on-time graduation. This report also revealed gaps in credit completion and credit accumulation across student groups — particularly by gender, race/ethnicity, and enrollment intensity as well as intersectional gaps when combining variables. Using the findings in this report, you can benchmark against a national sample of PDP institutions.
