Welcome to the March quarterly update for your Postsecondary Data Partnership (PDP) service.

Spring 2024 Submission Window

The spring 2024 submission window is now open, and data providers can submit data from the fall and winter 2023 terms. As a reminder, our next effective date is March 8, which is when we will pull the most recent enrollment/degree data into PDP for use in the analysis-ready (AR) files and dashboards. The AR files will be completed and sent by the first week of April, after which the data will be pushed into the dashboards for all customers.

New Analysis-Ready (AR) File Fields

During the past quarter, the PDP team has been working to add more information to the PDP AR files. Users have told us that while the AR files help them to track when something happened, they don’t have information about where something happened. To help answer the “where” question, we added fields to the AR files that correspond to enrollment and completions at other institutions, including the OPEID, state abbreviation, locale and Carnegie classification (rolled up like on the PDP benchmarking dashboards). You will see these new columns in the AR files that will be sent to you in April (see “Spring 2024 Submission Window” above). To help you better understand the new fields, we added resources to the PDP knowledge base (see the “Working with Analysis-Ready Files” section).

Communications, UI & Dashboard Improvements

We have also been working to improve our communications and PDP user interfaces, and believe you will notice improved clarity in PDP emails and submission interface functionality. In addition, we are finalizing work on enhancements to our PDP dashboards, including improved look/feel, consistency across dashboards and better functionality. Most importantly, watch for an exciting release in the coming weeks about the PDP benchmarking dashboards!
