Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/ftps.nslc.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/ftps.nslc.org<\/a>.<span style=\"font-size: revert;\"> <\/span><em style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: revert;\"><span class=\"italic\">(You may want to bookmark this site.)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. The first time you log into your secure FTP account, you will need to do some minor setup. You will be prompted to change your password. Passwords must adhere to the following minimum requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be at least 13 characters in length<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not contain a \u201cdictionary word\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contain both upper- and lower-case letters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contain at least one alphabetical and one numerical character<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contain at least one special character (such as $ or !)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not resemble your username<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not contain sequential or repeating letters or numbers (AAA or ABC, 111 or 123)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passwords will expire every 90 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">For more information, read our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.studentclearinghouse.org\/dataexchange\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/NSC-FTP_Account_Password_Policy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FTP account password policy (pdf)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Whenever you log on to your secure FTP account, you can click the keyboard icons next to the username and password fields to open a clickable keyboard that can be used to enter your authentication information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Username is <strong>NOT<\/strong> case-sensitive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Password <strong>IS<\/strong> case-sensitive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your account will be locked if you try to log in too many times with an incorrect password (see <a href=\"https:\/\/help.studentclearinghouse.org\/dataexchange\/knowledge-base\/troubleshooting-secure-ftp\/\">Troubleshooting<\/a> section for more information)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. Click &#8220;<span class=\"bold\"><strong>Sign On<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">Using the clickable keyboard can help thwart keystroke loggers, and is highly recommended when using a public or shared computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">If you have forgotten your secure&nbsp;FTP&nbsp;username or password, contact&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:secureftp@studentclearinghouse.org\">secureftp@studentclearinghouse.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">For more information, read our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.studentclearinghouse.org\/secureftp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/NSC-FTP_Account_Password_Policy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FTP account password policy (pdf)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-open-sans-font-family\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:600\">&nbsp;Multi-Factor Authentication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can enable multi-factor authentication on your FTP account via a synchronized authenticator application on your smart device, such as Google Authenticator. Follow the steps below to enable multi-factor authentication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">If your FTP account has shared access across multiple users, all users should be present during the multi-factor authentication setup process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. Download an authenticator application from your services application store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">Use only applications that are verified by your application service. We recommend Google Authenticator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. Navigate to <strong>\u201cMy Account.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. Click <strong>\u201cEnable\u201d<\/strong> on the Authenticator App tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.studentclearinghouse.org\/dataexchange\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/02-Logging-on-To-Your-Account-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3067\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. Use the scanner in the application to scan the supplied QR code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">Ensure all users who access the account scan the generated QR code during the setup process. All users will have to have the authenticator application installed on their devices to enable multi-factor authentication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.studentclearinghouse.org\/dataexchange\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/02-Logging-on-To-Your-Account-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3068\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. Verify that the six-digit code provided is the same on all users\u2019 devices. Enter the six-digit verification code provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">There will always be a space between each three-digit number set. You should enter the space as well during verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.studentclearinghouse.org\/dataexchange\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/02-Logging-on-To-Your-Account-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3069\" style=\"width:240px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6.
